Sokol Blosser Evolution Lucky No 9
Gyártó: Sokol Blosser
Drink now or cellar for up to 4 years. Serve chilled. Sokol Blosser has a reputation for being one of the Willamette Valley’s most sustainable small wineries, with a loyal following of wine lovers across the US and beyond. The estate was founded by Bill and Susan Sokol Blosser who arrived here in 1970 in their VW Campervan, parking up on an abandoned prune orchard in the Dundee Hills where they planted their very first vines. This proved to be an inspired decision since the area is now considered the heart of Oregon’s wine industry. Today the property is run by their children, Alison and Alex, who have overseen the certification of the winery as a B Corp and farm their 88 acres of land using organic and sustainable methods. Their Evolution cuvee is a complex blend of 9 different white grape varieties which include Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer, Muller Thurgau, Pinot Gris, Riesling, and Semillon. Floral hints of honeysuckle and jasmine are the first to emerge on the nose, followed by bright citrus and ripe peach and apricot notes. The first sip reveals a refreshing acidity, light body, and enticing tropical and stone fruit flavours. This well-balanced white is a great choice to enjoy as an unusual aperitif or partner for a variety of dishes such as leafy salads, fresh seafood, grilled fish, or even spicy Asian dishes.
