Michele Chiarlo Nivole Moscato d'Asti 2021
Gyártó: Michele Chiarlo
Drink now or cellar for up to 4 years. Serve chilled. The Chiarlo family have been making exceptional Piedmontese wines on their estate since 1956, and today they are highly respected in the region for their commitment to sustainability and terroir-driven premium winemaking. In total the family has 60 hectares of vineyards as well as access to an additional 50 hectares thanks to their long-term relationships with local growers. One of their most sought after wines is this attractive Moscato d’Asti from Nivole which boasts ideal growing conditions for the variety. The vines sit on well-draining sandy soils with exposure to the south-east and south-west which helps to fully ripen the grapes. The fruit is harvested by hand to ensure it arrives at the winery in optimum condition. To preserve the delicate aromatics of the Moscato, the fruit is fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks which trap some of the carbon dioxide released and give the wine its natural slight effervescence. Bursting with bright floral and citrus notes on the nose as well as enticing ripe peach and apricot flavours, this is a great wine to serve as an aperitif or partner for fresh seafood, leafy salads, and even spicy Asian dishes.
