Brendan Tracey Wah Wah Light 2020
Gyártó: Brendan Tracey
Cellar for up to 4 years. Serve chilled. After playing in punk banks in California during the 1970s, in 1980 Brendan Tracey moved to France permanently in 1980 to embrace his French roots. Despite growing up in New Jersey and San Francisco, Brendan had fallen in love with his mother’s native country while living with his aunt and studying for his baccalaureate. In 2010 he started to make his own wines in an irreverent style, putting a new twist on the classic varieties of the Loire Valley where he is based. Today Brendan makes a wide variety of wines and is always experimenting with new ideas and label designs which he creates himself. Wah Wah Light was inspired by Brendan’s classic Wah Wah, a beautiful expression of the Gamay grape made with extended skin contact and wild yeast fermentation. This version has a little less skin contact and undergoes semi-carbonic maceration to add vibrancy and elegance to the finished wine. Enchanting notes of wild berries, dried herbs and forest floor define the nose while the first sip offers a light body, mouthwatering acidity, and a bright red fruit core. The pure and clean finish makes this a great wine to drink with tomato-based dishes like pasta and pizza as well as charcuterie and aged cheeses.
