On the nose, detect the pleasant scents of dried cherry blossom and fresh jasmine flowers. The floral bouquet is complimented by that of tropical fruit and fine mineral tones. A lovely, full bodied white wine with a soft viscosity like honeyed water, and a pleasant crisp finish. Flavors of apple and pear, bright citrus and salt air come together in this beautiful Malvasia. With nice bright fruit and minerality, this wine is an obvious pairing with grilled fish and light seafood dishes. However, because of its full body, it is also quite enjoyable beside roast chicken and grilled pork. Veralda is a family owned vineyard, and covering 33 hectares, is one of the largest in Istria. The family maintains a hands-on approach, and follow a philosophy of “Innovation through hard work and research.” In this way, they grow fruit of the freshest flavors and produce wines of the highest quality. Being 100% Malvasia Istriana, the wine is in the category of most popular grape grown in the region.
