Badel 1862 Korlat Supreme Syrah 2012
Gyártó: Badel 1862
Ideally drink now to 2028. Decant 2-3 hours, best served at 16-18°C Deep, rich reds and purple swirl in a glass of this Korlat Supreme Syrah. With a complex bouquet of fresh violets and dried lavender, followed by black pepper and cinnamon spice, this is a beautifully layered bottle of wine. Soft, velvety smooth tannins pair well with ripened black raspberry and fig, with an impressive lasting flavor of spiced currant jam. A luxurious wine, this Syrah is a wonderful accompaniment to duck confit, braised rabbit stew or roasted leg of lamb. The Korlat label was started in 2004 out of the established Benkovac Winery. Following practices used in Southern France, Korlat produces super premium wines. This particular line of Supreme labels can only be found in the most exclusive Croatian restaurants and resorts. It is a mark of true finesse and superiority. The Syrah grapes were grown on the stoney maquis hillsides of Benkovac, where the tag line is “Wine that grew out of stone.” Hot, windy and dry, the region’s rough climate results in hardy grapes that are packed with flavor. Through careful hand picking, the fruit is guaranteed to be top quality. This is a wine for celebratory occasions. Buy now, and save for later, as more time in the cellar will afford this wine time to mature gracefully.
