Corte Aura Franciacorta Brut
Gyártó: Corte Aura
Enjoy now or cellar for up to 15 years. No need to decant before drinking. Corte Aura was founded in 2009 by Federico Fossati, a native to the Veneto region, who discovered his dream of wine making in Franciacorta. The symbol of Corte Aura is a turtle which embodies the slowness with which the wines are made here. Utilizing extended aging on the lees, Corte Aura wines show longevity and richly revealing cuvées. Nestled in Italy’s Lombardy region, grapes are sourced from several vineyards within several Franciacorta municipalities. Fossati uses a delicate hand in winemaking with a commitment to allowing the wines to fully express themselves. The Franciacorta Brut is made from hand-harvested grapes being 90% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Noir. The wine spends at least 36 months aging on the lees providing a rounded richness to this zippy, acidic sparkling. The nose is greeted by green apple, lush pear, and delicate citrus notes of lemon zest and tangerine, all intertwined with supple notes of brioche toast and sweet almond. On the palate is mouthwatering acidity and delicate bubbles that wake up the senses. A hint of minerality is layered in among sweet yogurt and toasted apple blossom. This Brut is well balanced with a long finish. Great on its own as an aperitif or with a variety of dishes including ripe cheeses, fish, chicken and Asian cuisine.
