Carpene Malvolti 1868 Extra Dry Prosecco Superiore
Gyártó: Carpene Malvolti
Enjoy now or cellar for a couple of years. Serve chilled. Carpenè Maltovi is an old and prestigious winery in Italy’s northeast. Its history intertwines with the story of Italian sparkling wine itself. It was founded by Antonio Carpenè, who also founded one of Italy’s first oenological schools, and was one of the very first producers of spumante. Carpenè Maltovi has deep roots in the Conegliano Valdobbiadene region, sourcing their grapes from the countless rural hills that dot the landscape. Now, the family establishment is in its fifth generation, under the expert leadership of Rosanna Carpenè, the winery’s first woman proprietor. The Prosecco Superiore is made extra dry, from 100% Glera grown on the steep hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene. Its bouquet expresses an intense green apple fruitiness, with nuances of freshly picked flowers. It is pale gold in the glass, with elegant shooting perlage. It is juicy and persistently fruity on the palate, exhibiting a refreshing fizz of acidity. This is a perfect choice for anybody who wants to taste a genre-defining Italian sparkling white. It is ideal for serving alongside light Mediterranean dishes, such as hummus and olives. It will also serve as a delicious aperitif.
