Weingut Alt Andreas Alt Grüner Veltliner Wagram 2016
Gyártó: Weingut Alt
Drink now through 2022. Decanting is not necessary. 100% Grüner Veltliner selected from the Goldberg and Riesman vineyards in the Wagram wine region. Pale straw yellow with glints of gold speckled. If you get too close, you might notice the tiniest hint of effervescence mingling with the signature aromas of green bean, lime zest, and fleeting nectarine. Light and zesty on the palate with a unique creaminess attributed to the excellent terroir conditions in the Wagram that are perfect for cultivating the Grüner Veltliner varietal. This wine has a certain herbaceousness to it with notes of white pepper and spice, radish, ginger, and honey. A true Grüner Veltliner with bursts of acidity and delicate, tingling aftertaste. Enjoy this wine chilled, around 8°C or so. Great to pair with rich and/or spicy foods. Sauteed kidneys, Asian cuisine, grilled sardines, caviar, asparagus, and artichokes, as well as soft cheeses like Camembert, paneer or ricotta. It is also excellent as an aperitif with grapefruit sorbet or fresh stone fruit. 75% of Grüner Veltliner grapes are produced in Austria. This wine is an exotic alternative to Colombard, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Blanc or a dry Riesling. The 10-hectare estate of Andreas Alt Vineyards was established in the year 2000 by Andreas Alt. Andreas inherited the estate from his parents and envisioned producing his wines with the traditional Austrian varietals of Riesling, Grüner Veltliner, Roter Veltliner and Zweigelt. Pinot Noir, Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Franc are also grown on the estate.
