Cellar for up to 4 years. Serve chilled. This vibrant Muller Thurgau hails from the Trentino Alto Adige region of northeastern Italy where the tiny winery of Borgo Dei Posseri is located. The owners Maria Marangoni and Martin Mainenti see the estate as something of a wine laboratory. Their philosophy calls on traditional Trentino winemaking techniques yet they are not afraid to experiment and try new ways of doing things. Central to their approach is respect for the natural environment and their desire to protect this gorgeous alpine corner of Italy for the generations to come. The grapes used for this wine are grown at an altitude of approximately 550 metres on south facing slopes which helps to produce deliciously ripe grapes. Fermentation takes place in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve the pure, fresh character of the grape variety and the wine is subsequently aged for 7 months in the tanks and the bottle. In the glass you’ll notice the attractive straw yellow hue and enticing aromas of white blossom, ripe peaches and apple. The first sip reveals a lively freshness, rich stone fruit and zesty citrus flavours, and hints of minerality. The refreshing, light character of this wine makes it an ideal match for seafood, salads and spicy Asian dishes like pad thai or a fragrant biryani.
